Hey folks,
Chappa chappa is a foot tapping good number from the movie “Maachis” released in the year 1996….
This was directed by Gulzar saab which was based on a very strong subject as the story line……
Vishal bharadwaj have done the scores for this movie and this one is a wonderful duet sung by Hari ji and suresh ji….
Shri was instantly ready to do this one with me as i suggested this to him and recorded at his place in about an hours time :P
Am really happy and thankful to him that he agreed to this and here we are posting this one……BTW raj i have successfully managed to make shri sing after a long time :P……Somehow he sheds away from singing………but now on i hope you sing a lot more shri :D

I still remember Dips pestering me to collaborate with him for this and as usual being lazybones I couldnt and am glad that he has ventured into a duet with another prodigy, Shriki. Am so happy that he has rendered this within a short notice. I envy as well. Touch wood…(or ur head) Lol
Dips!!! Hugs!! Hugs!! Hugs!! I am really stunned on seeing ur commitment which I need to learn really… And about this rendition, you had brought out some shades of Hari’s tones and it was awesome. Only nitpick I could find is the note that is not very convincing at 3:30 when u enunciate ‘Paani’. Rest all fine with perfect synch. of your voices. The attitude and energy you carried through-out is to be imbibed. Need to learn many things from you man and I am learning slowly. Of late, trying to inculcate some. Thanks for being my friend. God bless you and best wishes for your future projects.
Shriki!!! A kiss on ur forehead in warmth. Rendering a song in such a short span of notice with astounding perfection substantiates that u r a creator/composer. I dont take the diction metrics into account here. I believe you have captured almost all the details in the song. And at places where you start singing ur part after the heavy harmonies, you literally brought puffs of pleasant memories… Yearning for those days… Nice work… First success is registered in the Blue Book… Hats off… Best wishes for your future renditions… So when are those original compositions gonna hit muziboo???
P.S: Shriki! pls do balance the volume of both the voices. Dips’ seems to have an upper-hand in the mix.

found a few diction errors in the ‘tha, dha, kha’s, like Khilati thi…Pukaara tha…etc, but was nice most parts…
I think there is one more channel missing from the track…there is one more set of beats in the song, which brings that glorious fast end to the song…but both your singing was good!
