One of my favourite songs composed by Rahman and sung by Unnikrishnan (Another favourite singer of mine) from Prema Desam Directed by Kathir. This is actually one of my first recording using regular PC mic in 2006, and without any background music (Karaoke). Please pardon the thumping sound in between the song, its my neighbor’s hammer working (I think he was angry with my singing :-))….

Loved this rendition! I was reminded of college days! You got most of the song correct with that right feel! I liked the choice of song and the lack of instruments made it special. You could have used a base shruthi though.

This is the second time I am hearing vocals only version of this song ….I am impressed ! :-) …Your voice was powerful to lift the song but I think a background Shruthi would have been a good accompaniment for this song ….Listen to Murali Raman’s version O Vennila :-)

Dhiraj! thanks for the comments :). I really liked the way you sang Oh Vennila….the ‘unplugged’ version was very unique and you did not, importantly, try to imitate Unnikrishnan but then had a similar voice to suit the song. Great job!

Suresh has rightly said…it is indeed kindof pretty tough one without music.
But no qualms at all…you have rendered wonderfully….i liked it a lot…especially between 2.50 and 3.05….Superb!!
