Your voice is very very nice but you got the pronunciation wrong in many places (as did the esteemed Hariharan). But that is something easily fixable had you known the lyrics properly.

You have a very nice voice and you have sung this very well. There are lyrical errors as Murali pointed out but those can be fixed easily. Do try some songs with Karaoke tracks and post them here. This is a nice community where you can get a lot of good feedback to hone your singing, recording and mixing skills.

Very good singing… Nice and greatly modulated voice perfectly suiting the song. As suggested by oters with a Karaoke track you will sound Awesome. Even now you are too good…Low notes like “KANNammA”, “SOORYa” etc.,…need to hit more correctly …IMHO…could be wrong…

Mahima… you have been blessed with a very good voice, but you may seriously have to work on your tamil pronunciations. Watch news readers twist their tongue with sirappu zhagaram (as in vazhkai – syn. life), Podhu llaragam (as in Palli – syn. school), nuninaa lagaram (as in pali – syn. lizard). Don’t mean to come across rude at all, but have heard hordes of stories of non-starting careers on these glitches. Your voice is real damn cool and I would love for you to sing with a K-Track.

Fantastic! And congrats for your first post!
The modulations are in their perfect while the timings are out for holidays. What you have now has a lot of Hindusthani hints. If you did not intend to clone the film music, this is perfect!

A little more husky emphasis on sensitive words would add more glory.

Words like சாத்திரம் could be more stronger. Imagine the strength the word has in real life. That must be translated well in the music to your audience.

The finishing downturn after கன்னத்தில் முத்தம் ஒன்று must have been flat. The lyrical meaning does not accept that down note.

What’s that static in the background? Try disconnecting the speakers while recording, for sometimes the onboard sound card may pass the feedback current through the microphone port.

Nice singing Mahima, barring pronunciation issues as pointed by others.Do u speak Tamil? If not, great effort with the pronunciations. Bharathi(th e poet) being very close to many tamil peoples hearts, it sticks out more. Hence, the feedback……:-)

After hearing this song I would like to give some of my comments.
1. Get more Feel according to the song situation and the lyric structure.
2. You bring some more boldness in your voice.
3. You give some more importance to the landing note…. Well the “Gamagam”
4. You can still improve your breath control and the way you pause in between the words and lines
5. Express your feel in the rhythm of the song than thinking about the lyrics of the song while singing….
