Chalo Ek Bar Phir Se (on Banjo)
Chalo Ek Bar Phir Se (on Ba... Lyrics & Chords
Due to whatever reason…. beloved of an artist gets married with somebody else and coincidently meets with her husband. Matured…. Balanced…. Rich…. Settled…. and what not….?
Words get freeeeezed…. Just a glance at each other speaks more than a thousand words, remembering all those moments…. and feeling of missing each other…. nothing could be done except hating the helpless situation…. hands are tied up…. and so are the emotions and expressions. So, there is no other way than becoming ‘ajanabi’ for each other. Because the very inspiration is lost in the mist of the past. Kala ki kalpana hi jaise kho gayee ho…. Rang jaise canvas par maatam mana rahe ho…. Aawaaj jaise hamesha ke liye sooni ho gayee ho…. Zindagi jaise wahi ke wahi thum gai ho………………
Dear Friends…. I have experienced this ‘song (?)’ twice in my life……followed by ‘Ye sab meri saath hi kyun hota hai’ kind of frustration. I have experienced girls getting impressed by my art creations…. falling in love thereafter…… But then…… ?
Hmmm…. Any way, I would request you to have a look at my paintings along with my playback on
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=thLmCSvvs0k
which would perhaps convey many things beyond my words.
Situations came across…. and as if the solution was ready all the time…. “Wo afsaana jise anjaam tak laana na ho mumkin, use ek khooobsoorat mode dekar chhodana achcha !” Aise kai khoobsoorat (?) mode dene pade…… and friends…. here I am…. always searching for an opportunity to express my feeling through some forms of art that God has blessed me with…. thanking every time to this wonderful platform of Muziboo…. where I don’t feel awkward putting my personal experiences before you…. as naked as the reality.
I have deliberately mixed the mukhada of “Aap aaye to Khayal-e- Dil-e-Nashad aaya” when I found its trial track. Because I felt…. “Kitane bhooole huwe zakhamon ka pata yaad aaya” is what one feels when he sees his beloved with her husband.
Late Mahendra Kapoor ji has put all his feelings in both the above compositions from Gumraah. My sincere tribute to him on his death anniversary…. 27th September. My Humble attempt to render this emotional and soul expressive song on Banjo (as effective as possible)…. Your comments please…. on my renditions, on my paintings and its playback as well. Regards….

An artist who knows something about playing the Banjo can only appreciate honestly. I am not the correct person to comment on this, Chandrakant ji. I can only say that the tune was correctly maintained throughout. Now, I can’t say how difficult it is to play each ‘sur’ as you have played here. Shall surely have a look at your paintings, soon.

Tahy ji, this song is very difficult to sing as all the three stanzas have different tunes. Right now, I am not prepared to catch the range of this song. But I would certainly love to sing this classic. Thanks for your appreciation and suggestion.

Vinod ji, It’s not neccessory to understand every painting. On the contrary, many a times I just go on doing as I feel…. without thinking…. and then people find meaning in it. Usually, the colours say everything about artist’s emmotional status. I feel, the painting which pleases our eyes is a good painting…. though we don’t understand it.

Bohut khoob bajaya Chandrakant Ji mazza aagaya. Thoda bohut keyboards play karna jaanta hoon. Jo baat real instrument per paida kari ja sakti hai woh keyboards per nahi. Natural Pitch-Bend aur Trill/Tremolo real instruments se behtar keyboards per nahi kare ja sakte unless midi data bohut carefully programmed na ho…. Aapne apni awaaz ki jhalak bhi khoob dikhlaye. Aap aaye Tu Khayal-e-Dil-e-Nashad Aaya mere nazdeek one of the top performance hai Bollywood Film Industry ki. Bohut dil karta hai issko ganay ka laikin un high notes tuk ponhunchna mere bus ki baat nahi iss liye ab sochna bhi chod diya hai.

Your paintings are amazing Chandrakant ji…. Fortunately I never had this situation and will never have this situation in my life ever :)
Your playing was very good indeed…. but one thing i felt that …the pitch of the instrument was a bit higher than the track.,… just a small thing what my untrained ears felt… which could be wrong :)
liked it
Swati Prasad
Chandrakant (again away for counselling stage shows) said
Thank you Swati. I am glad that you liked my pantings. Thanks for appreciating my rendition. @ pitch issue…. actually this string instrument doesn’t give the accuracy of harmonium or violin. Whatever your untrained ears (I won’t say so) felt is not wrong. But that’s the limitation of the instrument. That’s why…. you wont find anybody playing my kind of songs on banjo. Usually, fast and rhythemetic songs are played on this.

Thank you very much ! Hey why not start playing banjo again ? Chalo kuchh gaane milkar bajate hai. Did you get me ? We can literally play duets on banjo, both playing on different scales (to differenciate male female voices). Please give it a thought and revert.
Thanks once again.

Chandrakant Ji, One more perfect rendition on “Banjo”. I like your picking/dropping of stanzas of song between Interludes. Excellent! Thats where you always brings in liveliness / completeness to the song.
Chandrakant (again away for counselling stage shows) said
VAK MANUPADI….
Thanks. Well, while playing any instrument, picking at dropping at stanzas matters a lot because we can’t do any modulation kind of thing there. Since banjo is a string instrument, we don’t get the continuiety. Thanks for your appreciation.
