The Passion of the Christ

The Passion of the Christ Lyrics & Chords

This song was a originally a poem written by Marlina Herron of Bowling Green Ky. It was turned into a beautiful song after she sent it to Mel Gibson following the release of the movie.

The Passion of the Christ

The Beginning of time.
Heaven’s always “Divine”,
Enter the streets of gold,

“Passion of the Christ,” forever told.
Admiration of the our Lord,
Several men and women cried,
Sacrifice, He paid the price.
In His struggle to carry the cross,
Out of His heart, He thinks of the lost,
Nobody can help the criminal man,

Only the Lord Jesus can.
For that moment, we ask forgiveness,

The loving Jesus Christ can say “Yes”,
His “Amazing Love” is so great,
Even Satan cannot defeat.

Christ is the true God,
“He is the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords”,
Resurrection is a celebration day,
It’s a joy to know, He is alive today.
Sin, and Sorrow was overcome!
The victory is already done!!!
