Independence
Independence Lyrics & Chords
A song in the eyes of a British Soldier. I have no pro account, so I reposted this song with updated vocals.
Lyrics.
Marchin’ in uniform all of us, rifle in hand.
How divided they were, well one of ’em (even) lifted sand.
Against the local natives, we are to bring order,
No, we had to stop them, well, one of ’em wanted murder.
Hail the Queen we say, she brought in electricity,
She brought in ships, cars, trains and Christianity.
The natives, oh no, oh no, well they didn’t wanna care,
We were ruthless at times, so the two were still a pair.
I know, there a lot of pain inside, I can see it in your eyes.
And yet, this world ain’t comin’ down – its just another bad time.
They sent us in, yes they, ordered us, to shoot in the park.
What are we to do, we’re just soldiers who swore by our hearts.
They ran, they drowned, they screamed, said goodbye.
I could take it no more, my body was just sore.
I know, there a lot of pain inside, I can see it in your eyes.
And yet, this world ain’t comin’ down – its just another bad time.
Thanks.

This was pretty good Christopher. However at times, it felt like the lyrics were stuffed in (too many words per line). From a vocal perspective, since its an original, I cant compare. But that said, there were a few flat notes. But its gr8 that you are back in action on muziboo.
