IMO sometimes we get sooo used to a particular song that we are unable to interpret it any way other than the original.

You gave a different dimension to the song by adding your own flavor to it, making it sound fresh, but without spoiling the beauty of the original! And that, I feel, is the mark of a good singer, a good cover!!

and hell, you sounded like a rockstar in this!
The expressions, energy, diction,
the improv towards the end… all simply superb!
