Kyon Hawa Aaj Yun Gaa Rahi Hai
This is the opening song of the film Veer-Zaara… Brilliantly composed by the Late Madan Mohan and sung by Sonu, in this song, the protagonist wonders why the ‘Breeze seems to be singing today’. There’s a ‘brilliance of light’ as far his eyes can see and ‘in every flower, he sees someone’s relection’…
I had done a version of this song once way back in college – when the Movie was just released and I fell in love with the Movie and its songs.
Today, 5 years later, I re-did this song with an all new vigour, energy and enthusiasm – I really don’t know why, though, in my heart, today, I have all those questions that the protagonist in the song seems to be asking… Almost all of them…

Bodhi, this was simply mesmerizing… you’re an honest singer, shows in the way you express yourself… and IMO you did not sound nasal, rather your voice sounded very innocent and young, just the way the song demands it to be. Loved it simply loved it…! 10/5 from me!! :)

Bodhi – am not familiar with the song, hence cant say much on the nuances – as the others have said you sounded quite diff in this one and suited this song . Minor nitpicks – the “ga rahi hai”at 1:20 and the last few ga’s – didnt sound ga , and the first jaise ujale – thought i heard a minor off. You always top on expressions and this one was no exception – yeh kiska chehra portions and the aahaten that followed was espec very well taken. Good one, Bodhi! 5!

Unlike others I have heard this before, sounds very different than your previous songs…. Liked the innocence, adds to that mood of someone being in love for the first time. Some landing notes were a bit shaky. Mixing could have been better man, sometimes treble was too much for my headphones….
