This song, from the film Jannat , is one that I found to be conveying the pain of a Lost lover in a way which is very close to my heart.
The way in which the protagonist in this song reiterates, “Door Na Jaa” is simply stunning! And the verses/antaras/charanas are simply superb.
Pritam, as always, rendered a super-hit with this one, using his best genre – the Rock gharana. Rana Mazumdar – a new voice – gave the song an altogether new dimension.
I always wanted to do this one. But today, I somehow got this huge urge from within that I MUST do it. Thanks a ton to Meera for the K-Track, which actually is of a very good quality.
This song holds a very special place in my heart. I did it in a way in which I would have, had I the liberty to. I sang it in a way in which I would have, if I were to say it out to someone who’s going away. Not that I deviated. But due to the emotions involved, there maybe certain dissimilarities with the original. :-)

Very good attempt, Bodhi. Felt a few pitching issues in the mukhda specifically, then it got better.
Some notes ( kuch der mujhe part ) felt could have had smoother transitions.
I personally love this song, so a definite 5/5 for the pick :P

Mindblowing dada…. darun…… Your voice is very very special…… Its suits all genres so so so very well…. Agree with Meera abt a lil pitching in the mukhra…. n the modulations of the high notes could have been a lil better…. though its very very high there…. Haven’t been able to reach with perfection myself :P
