This is one of my favorite songs by the Pakistani band ‘Strings’.
The song has a very earthen touch to it and has been carved out in a very lilting manner.
Bilal Maqsood and Faisal Kapadia – the band – had in an interview once said that the name ‘Dhaani’ revers to the colour green (coming from ‘Dhaan’) and the song is about love and revolves around ‘dhaani chunariya’-s.
