When West Meets East
The world at this point is definitely a melting pot with a potpourri of cultures getting a chance to appreciate one another-be it for the beauty of a language or a particular style of music or the philosophy of a religion. In Muziboo, we came across two interesting uploads. One is a Brit by name Joanne Singleton writing, composing and singing a song for her love in Mandarin and another a Russian woman by name Natasha experiencing her musical thrills by singing Bollywood numbers.
Do give a listen!

Audio comic series reminiscent of Hitchhiker’s guide
The radio series of Hitch Hiker’s guide to galaxy was definitely a cult and guess it has inspired and still inspires many into trying out similar audio comic series. Came across Kyle Puttkammer’s entertaining 3-part series. Everything’s very well done (not judging the storyline here) , just misses a punchy title music. Here you go!

Collaboration as a community offering
Muziboo in the last few months has seen a number of musical creations which were born out of creative collaborations among members. Though technically Muziboo’s offering is ‘easy upload and share’, one cant dismiss at that. The community around the ‘easy upload and share feature’ brings in all the difference. Collaboration is one of the natural outcomes of such a dynamic community and the such creations definitely speak of the enthusiasm of the users who have been involved.
United We Stand is definitely one of such enthusiastic project underway
Tone deaf??
Sudeip’s PowerJaMmEd is an awesome instrumental piece dedicated to GG.
Wow there goes GG with his critical feedback on tone
“your tone is okay but it has the moody, dull feel to it. maybe because of the studio reverb thing. but honestly, it sucks.. the early hendrix recordings had that. lol not this but much more better version. this is far worse from that..know what i mean bro??
put the drive on 2’o clock of the amp, treble on 2’o clock, mid on 10’o clock, Bass on 1’o clock, reverb on 8’o clock. know what i mean?? thats some serious sound there. see if you like.
download a better patch from the links i gave you man. use it. it has everything. because of this cloudy patch you cant even hear the pedal tone riffing goin on.it sounds way to muddy.
when it comes to the solo, add a bit more Mid to your sound to give it a more cutting sound.”
This feedback is definitely insightful and attempting different iterations of the same composition with various technical inputs can really help in fine tuning one’s creation. But the charm is lost if the general audience is exposed to too many such iterations. To get all this going behind the stage we offer privacy features in our pro account that helps musicians take feedbacks from the trusted ones, working on them and then unveiling to the general audience!
Muzicast - The first ever Muziboo podcast!
The Muziboo community has been bonding strong and steady and all user initiatives only drive home that fact. Ronak R one of Muziboo’s enthusiastic users, has definitely leveraged the Muziboo platform in an innovative way to get original compositions out to the world. Its a great start and he has put up a great show with his first episode. The show will go on every week. If you are a composer with original compositions and would like to get it podcasted, submit your music at Muzicast
Great going Ronak!
Sound Of Silence
Sometimes some people make your day. George made ours by posting a cover of ‘Sound Of Silence‘ when indeed we had requested for it just the previous night. Here we go!
Larger than you and me
Just couldn’t help but wonder after 6 months of launch, what defines Muziboo, who drives the culture and how capable the platform is. The simple answer is, Muziboo is definitely larger than you and me. It is the collective enthusiasm of a few thousand users to help each other and also promote oneself.
Amidst all this, is there anything which is really user enabling? Muziboo believes in giving users their personal space and the best possible flexibility. With this thought, was launched the concept of groups. Create groups of your interest, invite people that you feel fit right, pool music, hold discussions and get notified about all this right on your home page. Cancel out all the other noise.
Want to put up interviews of artists? promote just yourself? collaborate? write articles on music events?…Go ahead, do it all in groups.
The concept might be simple, but definitely very enabling…
Regards,
Nithya
Anyone in the mood for radio ?
I’d sit alone and watch your light
My only friend through teenage nights
And everything I had to know
I heard it on my radio
Radio
I love radios .. its fun to let someone pick music for you and play it one great song after other …
Sometime in the next few weeks, we will be launching three radio streams on Muziboo. Online radio streams playing original english, hindi and instrumentals uploaded by muziboo members. Not just studio recorded music, anything with decent recording quality and feel will get onto these channels. Currently, we have about 130 songs on air (or wires, whatever you prefer). We have the basic streams up but are working on the website integration. Stuff like the ability to add any song to your favorite list, comment on the track playing currently etc etc. You will even be able to embed the radio on your blog if you are enthu enough.
However, if you want to get an early radio pass, if you are the kinds who just can’t wait, write to me at prateek@muziboo.com or leave a comment here and I will send you the radio pass …
In the meantime if you have some unfinished original compositions .. now would be a good time to do so and go on air. Remember, to get onto the radio, you just need to upload your music to Muziboo.com and post it to Original Compositions Group so that we notice it.
Muziboo is moving to a new home

If you have reached here looking for Muziboo .. don’t worry .. Muziboo is just shifting homes and will be back soon …
Ok enough cool language .. we are moving to a new server .. so that all of us can enjoy the same speed and streaming quality despite the growth in traffic (which is cool to have)
The move should take no more than 30 mins .. so we should be back by about 8:30 PM (Pacific Standard Time)
Happy Waiting
Muziboo Team
Google Loves Muziboo
Today I was checking logs for muziboo and I found a visit for the keyword “upload music” … I checked and found out that this was not a paid visit. I checked on google and found that Muziboo is result 47 of 19,200,000. This is pretty neat as upload music is a very competitive keyword and a few months back, we were not even in the top 200 results.
Sachin Bansal from flipkart later pointed out to me that Muziboo ranks number one in Google India results (pages for India) out of 98,900 results beating quite a few popular websites ….
Thanks Google …. we love you too!
