Sweet sounds from the newbies
In Muziboo, the first timers with their sweet sounding curtain raisers have never failed to put a smile on our faces. Came across a few of them in the last few days. I would love to introduce you to Dibble with his first recording of drums, Jasper on his first piano piece and Kelsey at her first attempt as a rock-star.

Pretty in Pinque?????????
Pink is barbie, pink is girlie, pink is shocking, pink is jarring!!!!…lotsa back n forth feedbacks on the pink fonts in the website, to the point that we are considering bringing the peppy green back! Well, lets see if it fits in the whole scheme of blue. Logo is another thing yet to be finalised on. We should be able to settle it all by next week. Your thoughts welcome too ![]()
Muziboo redesign-Not just cosmetic…
There have been lots of feedbacks till now, on how the redesign is. We would like to share our thoughts on what the redesign is all about and what promted us to attempt it.
For one, with a growing user base, the previous design could not contain all the buzz. The place was getting a little too noisy right on the main page. And another was usability. Navigating to content across the website was getting clumsier. We started off keeping these two in mind. Hence we wanted
1)to let each group function like an independent muziboo, with latest songs and comments and discussions figuring in the main page of the group.
2) to let users decide which groups to join based on relevance and interest and give updates on those groups right in the home page after logging in.
3)And to make sure, everybody did everything sitting right on their home page-An access to content across without navigating too much!!
With reference to look and feel, we wanted to use colours and fonts that made viewing easier. That was one main reason for us to avoid flashy colours, which might look attractive but end up hurting if viewed for a long time.
Please share your thoughts.

Nithya
Muziboo Interface Redesign
When we launched Muziboo.com, we wanted to get the website up and running really quickly so that we can see the initial user reaction and understand our market better. In retrospect, I think it was a good move as that gave us good insights into what people look for, how our service can be different and it also helped us build a strong community. I was (am) inspired by the getting real book and Muziboo was a true getting real project. We got the website up in about a month since we hit upon the idea and in about two months, more than 100 people were using the service.
However in order to get the service up and running quickly, we could not spend too much time on the interface. We did make sure that the service is usable and the design is not so cluttered but the design did not have a long life. We have already reached a point where our users feel we need a new redesign. As I wrote in one of the earlier post, we have been thinking/working on the new design for almost last two months and its finally almost ready. We have had a great discussion at Muziboo.com about what features to add and we have added a few of those in the current release and will be adding more over the next month or so. The design should go live sometime next week and we are quite sure that it will be a visual treat apart from being much more usable than the current one.
As an early peep, I will put a few screenshots from the new design here and let everyone comment on it
