I am a dedicated author, somewhat of a music historian. I’ve also been operating in music for well over 30 years. Not just a musician, but understanding the theory of music and truly how it is a universal language. A language that the body understands best.
My musical influences are wide range. They stem from Robert Johnson, Sonny Boy Williams, Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf to Rosetta Tharpe, Clara Ward, Aretha Franklin to the King of Rock Elvis Presley, to the King of Pop Michael Joseph Jackson, to the King of Gospel James Cleveland and many others.
You may say why didn’t I name any new artists, like Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, or Tupac or Biggie. Because they understood where they came from. In order to know where you want to go in music, you got to know where it came from. And what do all those people have in common, they all came from some kind of church. And so did I.
