Ashraf…peformance with lot of energy…thats required for these kind of songs….coming to areas where u can improve.

1. Pitching….you just need to take here and there. there are not many issues…

2. Lot of delay in the voice. You can reduce it…

3. I think the voice level can be bit high… The volume level of the karaoke is much higher I feel

And overall if you practice more, you can sing well I think…

good one Ashraf…….very nice voice, some landing notes modulations were flat……….the overall roundness of notes were missing but I appreciate u trying such a fast paced song, which has very few places to take breaths……for that I applaud ur effort…….

work very hard on pitching as there are lot of off pitches……but im sure u know what needs to be done……some places diction issues are there, like in the mukhda the line is “Ke Meri Manzil”, u sang KI mera manzil……mausam and other words needs attention……since this is an old recording, i would urge u to re-record this one after hearing the original again and I am sure u will rock this one………overally i liked the effort and gluck….keep up the improvement flag blowing up and up always……

Ashrafe ……This was a beautiful attempt ……you brought the essence of the song alive ….also liked your open throat singing ….pitching is something you need to be careful …esp the landing notes …what I felt was problems …hitting the low notes …for e.g sapna, chehra…the high notes very good ….but the energy was simply great. Please redo the song with these pointers ….I am waiting to give you my full stars :-)

Lovely rendition…!! loved ur energy and feel in the song. I must say that ur Hindi s gud!! Singing was also really nice…i feel u should try more Hindi songs. ur voice suits them.

Scope for improvement : Very slight pitch issues at couple of places…one thing u can do about it is listen to vocals 1-2 times( i have seen u can detect better when ur listening on the speaker)carefully b4 mnixing the song,while listening, keep in mind dat u ve to detect pitch variations.This has helped me a lot. Not sure if this is the best method though :)

Overall great singing…keep it up!!

That’s a fairly good rendition! You have a good voice and you got the feel right….a bit more work on the diction and you’ll sound great!
Here, in this song, words you want to listen carefully again are:
1. hain (there’s an ’n’sound at the end of the word that u’re missing out on)
2. meri (not mere) in ki meri manzil….
3. ek (and not yek……like i mentioned in one of my earlier comments, avoid adding a ‘y’ sound which is really not there.

Overall though, really liked this one….I think you have a lot of potential….keep posting more songs :)

Hi Ashraf,

Nice pick of a song; it was a hit song about 15 years ago (if memory serves me right), and still sounds good enough to make bones move!.

Ashraf, your rendition is a like an uncut diamond!. It sparkles in places but hides its secrets in other places in a translucent acoustic cloud. As a result the sparkle and the cloud alternate at will and ends up as a below your potential. Or in other words, the song is going in and out of its natural goodness … and leaves me wanting the real deal from your voice!.

I have a possible suggestion for you to try. Reduce the pitch of the song by two notes and reduce the tempo of the song considerably. Save the track as a new file and now sing with it to hear yourself. Start “Pa Pa” as two separate beats and start hearing yourself sing at a slow tempo. Now when you hear yourself how does that sound?. I think you will have more time to listen and adjust your pitch accordingly. Try to practise in this slow tempo to fix all your doubtful areas. Then progress on to the original track to sing at normal pace. You should see the improvement. The point is when you sing a bit fast, one thinks they are are singing OK but in fact pitch errors easily creep in.

I think you should adopt the above practice technique for all songs b4 you record it.

Nice voice but needs more cultivation and I know you can do it if you apply yourself.

ashrafji, you did this song also well. i read all the comments. many of them expect all the singers to sing exactly like the original track which is not possible even if the same playback singers try to re-produce again. hence attempt for maintaining the sruthi, talam, and original song composition, specially the ragabhava in which the original was made+feel. we should not try to imitate the original.

Great Rendition ashrafji. Very good enery and the high pitch is very good and there’s no strain in the singing. Only some flat notes were there but we know the limitations of karoake singing.
