Very soothing and melodious song and your rendition is absolutely beautiful Murali. The diction is perfect and the feel is apt.
Loved it totally.

(It would have been ideal if you had also mentioned the name of the lyricist and also provided the English translation also, so that non-Bengalis would have appreciated the beauty and depth of this Bengali poem, which according to me occupies a high position in the contemporary poetry.)

Latha pointed me to this rendition of yours. Being a bong myself, I must salute to your effort, Sir. So many (good) things I want to write about your song, but that would take up few pages. Loved E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G!!! Dil chhu-jaanewali feelings, Shyamal Mitra style expressions (especially the harkatein in “hobena”, “robena”), quite difficult to master those murkhiyan so smoothly. As I said, I could go on….
Kaka’s Anurodh had a slight similarity w/Deya Neya. The movie had 6 songs, all written by Gouriprasanna Mazumdar, music by Shyamal Mitra himself. Ami Cheye Cheye and Gaane Bhuban are my favorites.
You sent me decades back yaar…….during those sweet & sour college days……and those bong programs….w/live orchestra……a.a.a.a.hhhhh.

Very beautifully sung with feel (of course I dont understand the language but the feel permeates through and through) – loved the softness in expressions as well in addition to the free flowing voice.
