Amith, aged 22, comes from a family of musicians and has been widely acclaimed as a child prodigy of Karnataka. He is the son and student of noted flautist Vidwan B.K.Anantharam. He has been performing on stage for the past 13 years and has performed on all prestigious festivals all over India including Mysore Dasara festival, Mumbai, New Delhi, Bhopal, Chennai , Guwahati, Hyderabad ,Trivandrum , Calicut etc.
Amith is one of the youngest “A” graded artistes of ALL INDIA RADIO and has been featured on the most prestigious National Programme of Music at a very young age of 21 and also the South Zone hook-up concert from Karnataka Doordarshan.
Amith, along with his father forms the only “father-son flute duo” in the whole of south India.
Amith also has 6 albums to his credit which showcase a myriad of colors in Amith’s flute playing techniques. He is already famous because of his rare talent to produce sounds which range from a mood of deepest meditations to high speed fun.
Recently he toured the United States of America for as many as 17 concerts in all major cities including New York, Washington D.C, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Detroit, Nashville, Kentucky, Philadelphia, St.Louis etc.
He recently graduated from Visweswaraiah Technological University (CMRIT) as an electronics engineer and will shortly start working for Infosys.
