Dear Friends,

Sheher mein is a very unusual but a cute song in the movie Rockstar wherein Ranbir Kapoor is doing a song recording in the studio for the first time. He is following his guide however in a very casual manner given his background of a natural singer who is not used to all this mechanical processes of song production.

This song came up as an idea of a duet while talking to Harry. We decided to do it. We finished the song as a duet where I covered the parts of Karthik and Harry covered the parts of Mohit Chouhan. You can find the original post of my duet with Harry here Sheher Me-Duet with Harry

*Now the story of this upload. While recording my parts of Karthik (One of The Original Singer) for our Duet project, I also rendered Mohit Chouhan’s parts too:) Just for Fun.

Mohit Chouhan has a distinct voice texture and his lazy style of singing was a challenge but I somehow sang it knowing that you guys will bear it:) In our duet, Harry rendered MC’s lines fabulously and gave the song a very contemporary feel. In this upload, I tried the same and hope I was able to do even little bit of what Harry has done in our duet.

This upload is by no means for comparison with our duet. I just did it for fun and wanted to share it with you all while I am away:)

Since Harry dedicated our duet to me, I dedicate this song to Harry:) I have made him listen to this before and hope he likes it again:)*

Well, I had to mention them like the way I did because it was damn difficult to switch from one voice to other in a matter of secs. Hence recorded one portion in one voice and then the other in the 2nd:) Was great fun and somehow loved the song too. So wanted to finish one solo version apart from my duet with Harry:) Appreciate your valuable feedback.

Honestly ’never heard the original before, though heard Nadaan Parindey from Rockstar n number of times. But I think you have done a fantastic job. It is really a difficult task to sing in two different voices for the same track. So, I am pleasantly surprised to get two different sounding voices from the same you. Great job:)

Yes, Rahul, I checked the original song out. I am a huge fan of Karthik as he has rendered some amazing songs in my language (Tamil).

As you said, the original song was thoroughly enjoyable. I downloaded the entire album. I haven’t been updated with the recent good Hindi albums.
