Dear Friends,

One more attempt of mine to sing a Tamil song, Yes, Tamil song, Can’t you figure it out that I love the language:)

I am extremely happy that I am posting a song after 5 months as I have been to India during the Summer break.

Before leaving to India, I requested Rashmi to sing this Tamil song with me and she readily obliged. Yes, this is my 3rd Tamil song after Mudhal Mazhai and Kangal Irandaal (with Tara).

As you guys know that I like to keep experimenting and TAMIL songs are a great challenge too especially for a Marathi speaking guy. So I hope that I did a decent job in this one too as I still do not understand what I am singing:)

But still, I learned this song the hard way and recorded it 5 months ago. Mixing of my vocals is probably not good enough as I did it just after my laptop crashed. So had to do a basic mix for my vox but Rash’s vocals were well intact and very nicely mixed too.

I hope everyone gives it a ear and lay down their accurate positive/negative feedbacks rather than rating stars:))).

I apologize to my good Tamil friends and hope they don’t find too many mistakes in my diction as its a completely alien language to me. But I did try my best to learn this high energy song:)

AJ – Appreciate ur wonderful effort of trying a tamil song, that too this one has more complicated words than usual. Your rendition kept me smiling thru out. Diction was not bad except for few places. Pitching was ok in the beginning, places like ‘muthaththale’ and in the stanzas, you can definitely do better. Liked the energy and the attitude overall.

Rashmi – Sounded simply great, second line of the stanza, haa hoon chi, slight off there, dont scold for tat nitpick:). It was a very sweet rendition as always. ‘Unna naakadiyil karkandaaga oLichen’ was too good.

Rahul and Rashmi – I don’t have much clue about Tamil so can’t comment on the diction, but I thought both of you got the attitude bang on. To me it felt like any other Tamil movie song.

And the mixing was pretty good, to say the least :) Your voice sounded a little ‘less bright’ compared to Rashmi’s, but it didn’t matter much to the overall impact. Good job guys.

An energy packed song!!Its played or sung on every occasion nowadays.

Rahul- the ’Na…pa…starting in the charanam that accent was nice and funny. The base notes were enjoyable than the high notes.You were active throughout the song.
Rashmi-Expressive singing. Nicely rendered.

Hey Rahul & Rashmi,
I knew very few south indian songs and this had been a fav number.
Though I dont understand a single word…. but if would like to suggest then -Rahul try to improve ur diction…. LOL….Bad PJ and just kidding.

On a serious note: Mast gayalaas. Majja aali.
Even if the tamil rasam spice was not there, but the marathi misal taste was well evident!!!! Wonderful. I enjoyed it thoroughly.
