Dear Friends,
This is an amazing composition from the movie Natrang composed by music duo Ajay-Atul and beautifully written by Guru Thakur. Some of the best song in the last 50 years have been done in Marathi at par with Hindi or even better than them. This song is one of my favorites from a heart touching movie Natrang. If possible, please watch this movie as it will stir your soul.
Synopsis of the Movie (Source: Wikipedia)
Natarang (Marathi: नटरंग) is 2010 Indian Marathi film directed by debutant Ravi Jadhav and starring Atul Kulkarni. Veteran music composer duo Ajay Atul composed the original score for the film. The film depicts the journey of a young artiste in overcoming hurdles in the form of family, friends, society and to finally realise the unthinkable dream. Set in the 1970s, in the backdrop of a village in Maharashtra, Natrang highlights the emotions related to gender bias.
Here goes my attempt on this song. This song has a rural Marathi lingo (in Nagpur, Baramati, Jalgaon and BulDhana) which is different from the casual Marathi we speak in Mumbai. I tried to manage it hopefully you all will like it.
I couldn’t finish the song cos the Karaoke was incomplete and couldn’t find a complete one and was itching to sing it. The track is average and a vocal cut. so had to keep my vocals a tad louder. so kindly bear with it. Hope this mix masks the original vocals in the track.
