This is the second time I am singing this song with Sriram. The first time was a live, unprepared performance in a studio in Taramani exactly 11 years ago :). Never thought I would get to meet him again in Muziboo.

This song is very very special to me for several reasons- MSV, Kamal-KB-SPB combination, Janaki’s expressive humming, Kannadhasan, Sridevi and lot, lot more! The unimaginably ingenious idea of singing to “sandham” gave birth to this eternal classic which hasn’t lost its charm even 30 years after its birth. The undercurrent of a blossoming romance that bursts out at the end like a thousand flowers……just my kind of song!!!!

On a lighter note, I am so crazy about the saree that Sridevi was wearing in this song that I am still looking for the exact replica! :D
