An awesome song pick….What a mesmerizing tune and orchestration (flute, voilin etc…etc…), sollikitte pogalaam.

You were simply brilliant and precise with your singing and trying naturally to modulate Sadhana Sargam’s voice. Enjoyed every word and lines of your singing from start to finish. She is one singer who is more perfect in her diction than any other Hindi female singers, I believe.

One thing, that caught my attention was the K-track beat for the charanams. It is a copy/paste of the beat from the pallavi….which kind of lacks the flow of the song. As the original has some beautiful tabla taal variations throughout the charanam. I have the same version of the K-track too and I do understand, that you can’t do much about it. The vocal cut did not work well with the song too.

This is my wife’s favorite song and we both listened this song together….She clicked the favorites after starting to listen immediately.

I’m sure your friend whom you dedicated this song would love this soulful rendition. Excellent writeup and this is a great movie by Thankar Bachan with IR’s great musical score and some great acting by Parthiban and Nandhita Das.

If you notice in Raja’s music, there will be traces of so many of his previous songs in the orchestration but the tune will swallow every single reference and make it a fresh new song…

I could sense so many songs when the song started. When the manthras start, there were traces of “Kadhal Oviyam paadum kaaviyam” & “Maarugo Maarugo”. The rhtyhm had some “Aalolam Kili Thoppile” feel. The orchestration & feel of the song was a little bit like “Povomaa oorkolam, Kuyil Pattu” etc.,

But the magical Raja’s tunes always have a lasting effect. He is a true RAJA in giving life to the song, which is the melody. Raja Rajadhaan.

Adithi, great song pick. Suited your voice beautifully. Great feel and awesome rendition. Liked your write-up also :)

I too wanted to ask you,y the whole song is having the same beat?In both the charanams raja sir has used tabla and also at the end of the charanams he has used violin,which added an extra flavour to the song.Is this karaoke track created by someone,i mean your close frnz or you got it from the website?Hey dont mistake me,just thought of asking you.But this karaoke track is also not bad except some missing items.

This movie is a soul stirring one. There cannot be one who is not moved either by the music or the characters and find some trace or a shadow of one or sometimes so truly relfect memories past. Knots up…many a times….

Unga paadal…your rendition was truly compensated with a rigth balance of meliflous born gift of singing life’s tunes…and escalating it to the pinnacle. So loved it buddy. Entha segmenta paathi oru amateur solurathu…but i loved….‘that retta kozhathaiaadi’….and 1:18 that ‘maa’ …& 1:56 to 2:00 enna detail…a gentle breeze of notes…
Loved 2:33 Oli kizhakum illai…line…a lot. Agan 3:30 to 3:35 just brilliant….control.

Ahhh…. What a beautiful composition and tune…. This song almost immediately attracted me towards it the very first time I heard it…. Certainly Sadhana Sargam has added that extra beauty to it…. What an appropriate choice of a singer for this song…. (Kudos to IR)….
