It is most appropriate to the occasion that this upload happens today, in time to wish a very happy birthday to Raj. It was he who, a couple of months ago, hunted down the track and sent it to both me and Roshinie. It was his kind request that we both must collaborate on this song. :)
I am a huge fan of Deva’s music (oh yes! It really is true!) and can’t stop wondering at some of the brilliant tunes he has composed based on nice raagas. His classic adaptation of Mohanam for his fast and peppy “Vellarikkaa” is still my favourite in that raagam! :)
This lovely song is a female duet (based on raagam Suddha Danyasi) and beautifully shows the playful banter between two young girls talking about their beloved. I was asked by a few people in Muziboo to do this song a while back, so here you go! It is here atlast! :)
The biggest job in this song was for Kitcha who had spent hours trying to correct a severe timing issue in the tracks. I will be surprised if he agreed to do any more mixing for me in the future! :P Not to mention the rigorous deadline he was working towards getting this song released (he tells me that he hasn’t been pressurised even by Project timelines at work so much!). I can’t thank you enough, Kitcha, for your kindness and patience! :)

Wonderful Rosh & Adithi – semma song selection.
The whole song was enjoyable throughout – but below are the parts i relished the most:
Rosh: Kurumbugalil….(0:57) nice feel – your unique way of pronouncing mElligaiye (0:33)instead of the original mAlligaiye is beautiful…. the Hey….() was a commanding one – sooperoh sooper….
Adithi: Unnodaah SoLLuuhh ….(4:16) then Pakkam VandhAAna….(2:13) – yammadiov wonderful feel & expression… :)
you guys have added the right chinna chinna sirippu & sinungal adds beauty to this wonderful rendition
p.s: I may not be an expert singer (leave expert, not even a good singer!); but believe that am a reasonably good critic – If you’re hurt by comments which are often raw & unrefined, I’d like to apologize in advance.

Aditi, you were excellent as usual. Oru naalaikku playback singing poneenganna, enna marandhudaadheenga lol. I keep saying. Your voice has a terrific range, which allows you to fluently sing any song. Keep rocking as ever.
Roshine, you got a fantastic voice too. Shabba andha sirippu onnae podum. naan gaali aaitaen haha. Infact, you also had tonal qualities of Adithi, which took the song to great heights. Some of the lines in the ending, “ullam kavar kalvanaa kurumbugalin mannanaa” were fabulous.
Raj, I’m sure you would be elated with such a wonderful gift from 2 kuyils singing :). Hope you had a gr8 day. Wish you many happy returns again.
Suku, Actually there were in total 4 tracks for vocals. Meaning, one duplicated for each singer, as I had to compress the original vocals a lot.

Adithi, I’m also a huge fan of Deva. Its a pity coz while saying this, people try to understand that we like ganas, which was anyways trend set by him. Deva has given stunning numbers, and many were certainly on par with raja’s compositions. Some of his evergreens would be : “Oru pen pura from Annamalai, Pulveli from Aasai(you should sing this), Mudhan Mudhalil paarthaen from Aaha, Nalam Nalam ariya aaval from Kadhal kottai” and so many more. Needless to say, Deva has been a melody king but unfortunately got overshadowed by his gana’s and copied songs.

The timing issue reduced the listening pleasure a bit but the singing was nice.
Roshine: The laughter was good.
Adithi: Chitra’s style (niRam… the stress on R, thamarai etc…). in many places. Thamaraye sollu… variation was superb.
Kitcha: Good job.

Roshnie, smoother of the two voices. As always sweet and sooperb feel. "Ullam kavar kalavana …. ", “Sari than <laughs> ithu kathalin ariguri than” fantastic in those places. Enakku recording appo ippidi sirikanum nu nenchale azhuga vandhudum :D …… Had little timing issues but wonderful singing overall.
Akka, beautiful as usual. Enakku pidicha edam, “Un kaadal kadhai enna ma”, “avan parkum pothu udal vannam maarum azhge”, All "Sollu …. " in the second charanam. Handling lyrics la as usual pineeteenga. Sangathis lam very detailed which is agmark yours ! :D …. Kalakkal !

Wonderful melody and sung beautifully by both of you! Awesome expressions and feel! The giggle at all the places throughout the song were simply out of the world! It is really difficult to emote so well in any song!

Mostly malayals slang influence there in the singing, pornounciation, tamara (tamarai), neram.(niram).
