Amaake Bhuleccho Tumi (Bengali)- Unplugged
Amaake Bhuleccho Tumi (Beng... Lyrics & Chords
I have always wondered why sadness touches me deeper than joy. Severe as it may seem, I have even thought that some of us are a little masochistic! Why then do we watch tragic movies more number of times than the happy ones? There must be some reason. When triggered by a tiny instance or happening, we don’t miss the chance to go back in time and think of those sad moments to shed a tear. If nothing happens and if life simply is peaceful like the still lake, we summon up those sad thoughts of loneliness or a break-up or a loss to create a stir.
Well, I have always loved sad songs and movies and books. That could have been one reason why I was so attracted to this wonderful song by Haimanti. Thanks to Murali Venkatraman, I was introduced to her album which is now my personal favourite as of many others in the forum, influenced by the same person :) I have already sung one of her songs in the past.
But it was my good friend Roshni Chandran who suggested that I try this particular one! Thanks Roshni! This is for you! :)
Figuring out the meaning and getting the diction closer to perfect(I hope!) wasn’t difficult at all, with a sweet soul as Sarmistha around (thanks to Latha for introducing her!). This kind angel took all the pains to ensure that I had everything I required to bring out the feel in the song. She patiently went through the corrected versions I sent her till she gave her nod!
My dear old friend, AJ aka Rahul relentlessly tried a few versions with the mixing till I was happy. Thanks a ton to you buddy, for rescuing my song from the near-disaster that my own mixing would have taken it to :)
My love for the Bengali language and Haimanti’s songs have become an inseparable part of me and my music now. This rendition gave me a satisfaction that I rarely get with my songs. Although there may be scope for improvement with the singing, deep within me, I felt each word sung.
Your feedback is most welcome for this attempt of mine! :)
Thanks for listening! :)

Although the listener is likely to connect with the mood of the song by just the tune, I thought you would enjoy it better if you knew the lyrics and meaning. Thanks again to Sarmistha for providing the same as below!

Although I liked the rare candle dimmed brightness
But you don’t have to be that light for me

Hi Adithi,
You already know my feedback for this song but still doing this formality:) Its a blissful rendition, each and every word felt by you was felt here too:) I had a great blast mixing it I heard ur voice like after 2 years (after Aur Kya) and can’t tell you how happy I was. This rendition start my day every morning on my way to work. Loveely effort in getting it to close perfection with all your effort in learning the song as it is supposed to be. The end result is sheer bliss. So without saying much (LOL), I am going to add it to my favs:)

Beautiful Bangla song, Adithi, and so beautifully rendered – I know this genre of unplugged singing gets you in your element. Do clue us in of the raags employed – Puriya Dhanashri (Pantuvarali) and Sohni (Hamsanandi) or Basant(Vasantha)?
Kudos to Sarmi for helping you so well on diction, and Rahul for a perfect mix!
To favs,
Sudha

This is a good sound for your voice … what I mean is the effects used took your voice to a clear notch up. Singing wise it was measured and very nice … lack of rhythm slightly dragged it a notch but nothing to take away from a classic performance.
Congrats to the whole team!.
