But unlike before, I have been quite active musically even during the study months, thanks to all you fellow Muzibians! :D
Sukumar and I were discussing about how boring we were starting to feel, doing the usual type of songs-devotional, moody, romantic, pathos….
So here’s a bold attempt for a change…….
My mom is probably going to disown me for singing a song like this.:D I can hear her say," Oru kudumba ponnu paadura paattaa idu!!!"….LOL!
This is one song I have been so crazy about for years. When we searched, all that we could get was the track for the newer remix version. So we decided to do a remix of the remix- singing the old song and tune in that style with some inclusions from the newer one.
Just as Sukumar says, “Summaa jollyaa kaelunga!”

Superb performance. Subtle brihas and open-throated singing are your intangible strengths. I envy you a lot. :-) Attitude was astounding. The way u started this song was very enjoyable. Eppadi ippadi? delivering the brihas within the small space available. Brihas are autochthonous with you man!!! kalakkarael. Gnyabagam irukkattum namma duet list um. All the best.

Still wondering how u picked this number and what made u to pick. :-) Nice change in attitude for this song. Now you have filled the vacancy that was clutching your singing for so long. Yeah! I mean the expressions. A nice display of your honed versatility. At some places, you could have sung better. ’Thanguthadai yaethum illa and the succeeding lines sounded different. Nevertheless I liked it a lot. So this would surely be a trend-setter and songs of this genre and colour would surely be endorsed for next few days, I believe. :-) All the best to you too.

my school days song ……nallavanukku nallavan ….thalai( rajini ) azhaga irundha kaala kattam. K.J.S wasnt my choice of singer for this number. Both of you did a superb effort and conveyed the energy through out the song……sukumar sounded like the original track not like on the remix version……adithi I know you in this kind of songs……reminds me the days we sang adaludan padalia kettu…….I dont know for some reason your tone always sounds like u caught cold. Try lowering the mid range frequencies on the equaliser slightly adithi..

Missed your comment while I was typing mine!
You are quite right about the image part….But I grew up in a very conservative family that was so used to the neat lyrics of a different era altogether. Hence the tendency to look at the lyrics first….And I must mention that they took years and years to accept the advent of IR after a period they called as the golden era.
Moreover, what may have been accepted from SJ and LRE was more contextual in their eyes and apt for the situation. But it would be considered an audacious move for commoners like me to try those husky numbers….It is all the perception about film music that makes the difference.
Of course, I do not belong to that school of thought and do quite enjoy singing numbers like this though I haven’t quite tried anything to this scale so far.
The above comments in the write up were rather jocular and referred not to my own perception but of a generation before mine. In fact, in reality my mom is quite appreciative of good music and doesn’t take things as seriously as I have picturised. So anga thappicchen! :D :D :D

Suku — u r becoming a king in such renditions….keep up the good work……just one suggestion….before everyone starts expecting only such songs from u….it wuold be nice to hear a nice slow song once in a while just to keep everyone guessing.
