Chhookar Mere Man Ko Kiya Tune Kya Ishaara
Chhookar Mere Man Ko Kiya T... Lyrics & Chords
This Kishore Kumar classic from ‘Yaarana’ (1981) is inspired by Tagore’s “Tomar Holo Shuru, Aamar Holo Shara” – a well-known Bengali Rabindra Sangeet. Rajesh Roshan, the composer of this Hindi version, learned many Tagore songs from his Bengali mother, who was an exponent of Rabindra Sangeet and a AIR radio artiste. The lyrics are by Anjaan, father of today’s popular songwriter Sameer.

Subhamoy Das….
Happy to be the first one on your page and that too I think for the first time on your space. Nice song selection and nicely rendered too. Liked it very much. For this particular song, Kishor da has given soooooooooo soft feel. I think your voice should also softened a bit while editing at ‘Lage Pyaara jag saara’. Thanks for sharing this wonderful gem of Kishor Da.

Beautiful rendition Subhamoy! First time here , and loved this song. Were you having trouble with the high notes?, your voice felt a little strained at times then. But overall, beautifully sung, goes to my favs!

Thanks for your feedback and inspiring comments!
Chandraji – You’re right, it needed to be softer at the higher notes…. I will take care of this next time (though it’s more the mixer’s job as well ;-)
Sarmistha – I’m not sure what you meant to say in your first sentence…. glad you liked it…. and yes, bathrooms are my favorite space to sing…. still! Cheers :-)
Priya – Thanks for listening to and commenting on my song for the first time…. you’re right, the high notes sound strained, but it was well within my reach though not at a pleasant-sounding zone, which is apparent here, more so because of poor mixing / sound taking. Thanks again, for adding me to your favorites.
Please look at my other songs here: http://www.muziboo.com/Subhamoy/music/albums/kishore-kumar-evergreen-hits/ – your valuable feedback is most welcome.
