Havent sung any of my favourite singers song for a while so picked this terrific number from ‘Mere Jeevan Sathi’…Beautiful song with beautiful lyrics…have wanted to sing this song for a long time but did not have a good track. Finally found one which is very good and i hope i have done justice to the track !! My humble attempt at Kishore’s ‘Deewana Leke Aaya Hai’. Please have a listen at your convenience and point out improvement areas. Every bit helps. Hope you like it:-)

Lovely song! Beautiful rendition Soumitra…At a couple of places such as ’Di’l,’Dee’wana leke, ‘Thukraake’ and the humming towards the end I sensed a slight offnote. The feel and expressions were awesome….Keep uploading more:)

good choice buddy and very well attempted……feel was perfect and i could connect with the song…….
i liked the humming and i listened to it again the 2nd time as people has suggested off notes there……found a very very slight off at one place but could figure it out only in the 2nd listen cos in the first listen i was fully immersed in ur rendition….Thats where u scored a bigh high FIVE from myside……

No problems brother ….I called it out …because I was a little surprised with these minor offs in your rendition esp the first thukrana….the humming was not really off ….but was not quite there …you are normally perfect in sur thaal.

I didnt have my headphones on while I listened to ur song,but I thought the starting note of’dil’ at the start was slightly off…and the thukraye towards the end before the humming was off again…The rest seemed alright to me…

@SriVidya – Hmm….i thought they were ok though i might be wrong :)…there is one thukraye at the beginning and one at the end …none as far as i know towards the end before the humming ! i am guessing u r talking about the first one ! will check again and make amends next time :) Thanx again for your time :)

Excellent singing, Soumitra. The thing I liked most about this rendition that you did not try to sound like the Greatest, KISHORE KUMAR. What usually happens is thyat when we try to imitate, we usually mess it up badly but your effort here is commendable. Liked it thoroughly. Keep it up, bro.

I think after “saaraa pyaar tumhara” (amaar shopno) this is the rendition that I have liked the best from you. That extra heaviness that your voice naturally carries does justice to this classic song.
