Suku! As I know you better, If u take up music seriously you are to go places. Certain things on earth would reach us only if we keep a step forward. Let this juncture be your career-deciding one. Do take up music and start your experiments with that. Regarding this rendition, do I need to say that I am overwhelmed with your expressive singing??? Though I could find the pronounciation mutated at certain places. ‘na’ was uttered as ‘Na’ and vice versa. Do take care of that seriously. Thoroughly enjoyed your rendition. All the best.

Rosh! What a transformation you have been exhibiting to date!!!! Simply stunning. Hope this was done in a hurry as few occasional slips are evident. Nevertheless this is another plume in your cap. Absolutely Fantastic !!!! Heard it 2 times and will sure hear many more times.

Firstly, brilliant composition and one of the bests of IR, King of Bass and the orchestration is really catchy. People may argue as to this tune being used in his other works (Sandhana katre) of his but its really the orchestration that diffrentiates one from another. So its technically very different.

Suku, Will rate this as your best as far as perfection goes. Fantastic singing ! Not once did i lose the zeal with which i heard this song. I was just more and more enjoying your subtle nuances and the feel. The way you started the charanam was brilliant. “Thadai Potaal nyama”, “mani maalai Bhadam” portions were really good. Completely sucked into this sheer brilliant perforance of yours.

Roshnie, Equally good. I think this should one of the best duets as far as chemistry goes. The male/female voices blended sooo well. Assault a paadreenga. I used to notice little strains in your works before but maha-sivarathiri/ this song la your voice seems to really well toned and it has take giant steps as far as the perfection goes. I mean you were always a good singer but now you look an even better one. Lovely singing. A Treat really.

Suku, This rendition shows you are more talented than what you have projected so far. Its relatively a though song and you have done a decent job. I especially like the depth in your voice and the natural flow you have maintained throughout the song. Are you trying punch-ins…. If not I strongly recommend you to do that to make things perfect.

This song is one of my favorites for 4 reasons:

SPB Sir, Super Star avargal, Ilaiyaraja Sir and the song itself. Silk Smitha enakku pidikkaathu (public la ippdi thaan sollanum).

Appreciations and minor depreciations (athaan pa pointers) to my notice include:

-‘paadum raagam nee’ – Heard it as ‘vaadum raagam nee’ (own experience la romba vaadirukkiyo
Sukumar)

‘kilaiyodu kaniyaada’ was sung as ‘idaiyodu kaniyaada’ ithukku thaan youtube la silk smithava paathukittu paada koodaathu Suku, idaiyodu kaniyaaduma aadum ya aadum….

-kaniyaaaahda was sung brilliantly Suku

‘pesa koodaathu’ towards the end could have been sung better with husky feel to add beauty – hope you got wat I mean….

-la la la haan humming was rendered excellently by both of u….

‘palakaalam unakaaga manam yengi vaaduthey’ – Wowww what an expression Suku. I coud feel your personal touch- very nice pa….

Suku u r gifted with an expressive voice; Few people can understand/grasp what feel need to be produced for a song, few people would be actually able to produce the right feel and very few people implement it. I opine you’ve successfully implemented the required elements. Kalakkal machi…. Hats off to you ‘Expression Mannan’ Mr. Sukumar….

Roshine, there were few diction issues appdinu comment panna mudiyaama pochu, gr8 to know
you are on track with regard to diction. ‘Mana maalai thanthuuuuuuuuu’ la finishing seri illaiyo??? I liked the ending notes especially the ‘aasai koodaathuuuu’…. Smile at ‘sontham kondu’ and ‘manjam kandu’ was awesome…. As earlier told, the humming was stupendous. I feel the lyrics of female portions were at times not clearly heard due to the excessive sound effects and hence you may have to be louder to match simma kural Sukumar. Kekka inimaiyaaga irunthuthu. Pona vaaram ‘Nama sivayam’ ippo ‘aasai koodaathu’ – there are no boundaries to music nu ithai thaan solvaanga pola….

On the whole, it was very pleasant to hear Sukumar and Roshine….

a very nice cover of this song. sorry for being late here. lovely expressive singing by both. on the negative side, the mixing could have been better. Suku’s voice a lit high and also the track is barely audible at times….but singing wise u guys have done very well.
