This birthday is very different and interesting to me on all aspects. I had a grand cake cutting with just me and Jessy (on the other end through web cam) with all the lights switched off except five candles that indicated the things that I underwent last year and while I blew them off, I could sense that there is a remarkable future ahead. It was a cute and simple round shaped chocolate truffle cake (believe me it was awesome to taste, as confirmed by my house mate who had been out on that day and had the cake the next day). Jessy had researched and managed to find a k-track for the ‘happy birthday’ tune and was so gracious to lend her sweet voice to the tune with the inclusion of my name in that song. Apart from that, she did a proper Christian tamil prayer requesting the Christ to guide me well in this year to overcome the trauma that I had to undergo in an alien country without a single trust worthy friend or relative here. Irrespective of my belief, I am absolutely enthralled by her sincere concern, true affection and respect for me. Thanks a lot Jessy for making this b’day meaningful and enjoyable. Then I had a beautiful pizza designed for my birthday apart from ‘almond & pistachio’ icecream and lots of chocolates.
Thanks to my parents and my elder brother for their wishes over the phone. I had to mention that I received personalised e-cards wishing on my birthday from Jessy, Deepa, Cassy aka Casthuri. Thanks Sukumar for being kind enough to send me an email with personal wishes. So sweet of Ahalya, who inspite of her busy schedule at work, had wished me while at work place. I had lots of wishes from my friends on Facebook than I could ever expect. Apologies to you all for my late reply as I had been out on that day for shopping (basically I was tired and am a soamberi).
