Great choice of song…As you said it is an extremely wonderful song extremely well sung by the original singer.
That was a very good attempt from you. While your voice goes quite well with this type of song, somehow I missed the throw it needed. Did you reduce the pitch? Could be because of that the impact of the song was slightly less and not as much as it should be. Also felt slight carnatic touch in the sangatis.
Overall a nice one. Take the pointers mentioned in the right spirit.

Rekha, completely second Sree above……The lower scale sounded good at some places like “Hai tujhe bhi ijaazat” parts….Other than the scale, u did very well……u can do much much better with this voice………looks to me that u have classical expertise, isn’t it?

I realise the pitching issues, but I am having a small issue there. I have and use only the laptop headphones/mic, and most of the times, I can hardly hear my own voice while singing…
Especially in this song, I found it tough to focus on the harkats and the energy, and at the same time trying to follow my own voice. Would better recording equipment help?

Hoping that with time, I can get back into more of singing on regular basis, and then get some good recording equipment…
