Filled with acute beats and bass, and oozing with rustic charm, this is one ARR song I simply had to cover. The song grew on me like migraine, something I could no longer post-pone. :)
Listening to Mano’s magnetic energy, I was left with very less doubt whom I wanted to ask if they’d work with me. Thank you so much Dips for agreeing so spontaneously, and for sharing the same enthusiasm as me. It was such good fun working together…:)
After doing both our portions, we were badly wanting to do as much justice as possible to the mix, considering it is an ARR number. In spite of busy schedules and high demand, Vishnu agreed to do the mix for us. Thank you Vishnu, for working your usual magic on the mix and giving the song an effect I could only dream of… :)
Dips and me have both tried to create the same rustic energetic charm of the song but in our own styles, without trying to sound like either Mano or Sujatha. Hope we’ve achieved some degree of success.

Rekha!(nick inga vaendaam… he he he) Thought u would be laconic until I spoke to you… But u proved me wrong… You are definitely voluble in all the aspects… :D The improvisations say it all…. However inducting improvs at few places will decorate and infusing it at all the available instants tend to appeal differently… To be precise, lukewarmish… I enjoyed ur improvs very much but when it came as a loop, I couldn’t relish… Having said that all, this song has traveled comfortably reaching the listeners propelled by your attitude… What an energy and enthusiasm!!!!!!!!
This didn’t get stopped here but has infected me, reaching my favorites…

You were brilliant, girl! Village slang azhagaa paadirukke. Start of the charanam was slightly pitchy. Konjam softness in the rendition would have been nice. Loved the seconds for “AAthangara” in the refrain.

Intha graamam engappaa irukku- kerala borderaa? :D Narayya malayala saayal diction-la. But your singing was fab. The start “Athaikku piranthavalae” should be delayed by half a beat- do listen closer to the original and you will know what I am talking about :) It kind of adds a "kick"start to the song. :)

@Dips, you have managed to do it decently. You have done really nice. I liked your landings. The energy could have been lil more during the starting. I liked the flow.
@Rekha, Slight piching at high notes. but your starting and conclusion was amazing. Even the harmonies you have done for dips was great.
Impressive singing by both of you. Vichu, about voices i felt lil muddy Rekha’s voice could have been lil more bright.

Dips, Starting was bit shaky but your “Aathangara Marame” was spot on :) You breezed thru the song except for the start. Charanams were good ! Mano sayal a vera kondu vandurkeenga charanam la :D Sooper a paaderkinga ! :D
Rekha, Unga voice is special ! Has this naughtiness by default :D Sooper singing. minor offs irukku. Sounded really gud in your voice. Loved your harmony portions. Clean attitude while singing ! Enjoyed this !

Deepesh: Timing issues @ the start but was good after that. Slight offs here and there (low registers). Harmonies were a nice attempt.
