I’ve been hunting for this track for a while ever since I started posting the covers in Muziboo. I would like to thank the fellow Muzibooyian Raisudeen who e-mailed this track on my request. I would like to thank Pavals who had already sung the female portion in this track.
This is one of those mind blowing song of SPB, PS and IR combination songs. For some reason, I can’t seem to stop listening to a few songs like this repeatedly in a loop until I get tired. For e.g., Nandha En Nila, Thirutheril Varum, Medaiyil Adidum, Kaalam Maaralam, Poo Pole are some of those songs that I can’t just listen once while I’m driving or when I’m listening at home. I enjoyed singing this song and hope you like it too :))
Sivaji and KR Vijaya combination is one of the best in Tamil Films. But, I’m not all that impressed with the picturization and acting in this song may be because of their make up and or age at that time. Some of the other superb songs in this album are Ennodu Paadungal, Aagayam Mele Bhaadalam Keezhe, Endhan Pon Vanname.

Hi Raja,
Good singing and what a melodious song to listen !!! The starting take-off was little late and went off-beat but after that you completed until landing very well. Enjoyed your version too….As usual, Pavals madam has been neat and sweet.

@Suku, Thanks for taking time to listen to my rendition and for your nice feedback. As you said we can’t forget these movies. I still remember watching this movie in Star Talkies (Matinee show) and then watching “Aarilirundhu Arubadhu varai” (evening show) in Pandiyan Talkies in Nagapattinam the same day. Obviously, I didn’t like Aarilirundhu Arubadhu Varai back then because I wasn’t expecting a serious movie from Thalaivar that too with no fight sequences:))
When SPB sang for MGR and Sivaji, he was not in his usual self and tried to match up TMS. Pottu vaitha mugamo, avaloru navarasu and these songs had a little hard voice of SPB compared to later songs like “Kaalam Maaralam” for Sivaji in Vaazhkkai. Adhai appadi kondu vara try paNNadhula konjam rigid Ayidichi. I’ll try to fix that when time permits.
