Very well attempted Raja! The sangathis by both SPB and Janaki in this song are some of the toughest. I did this as a duet a couple of years ago with Kumaran. Would like to redo it sometime soon. :)

Followed thalaivar…. Agree with the above comments… Though this seems to be a simple tune, it does carry MSV’s trademark right from the start till its end… :-) More over the song goes inclining to ghazal style… Didn’t know the significance initially until Murali Venkatraman told me about the style adopted in this composition… I personally feel, you could have sung with that aboriginal ‘NeLivu/suLivu/kuzhaivu’ of SPB… This was lacking something pertinent to expressions… Think male-female duet would have brought the difference and expressions effectively… My insight… :-)

@Sukumar, This is an awesome song but not a difficult one. I always try to record my songs in one single take. Only difficult songs require punch recording and this one was well within the range:))
@Raj, This is a great song where the singers like SPB and SJ had a total control over the sangathis. As always, I try to reproduce the original and very rarely I did improvise. Janaki portions pAduRAdhudhAn romba kashtamA irundhadhu :) May be it will sound very good once Adithi sends her part.

Such a difficult song ….Good attempt and mostly well done Raja Mani….Innum konjam, asaivugal thevai enru thonugirathu !! Especially, “Paarvai….”, “Paavai…” words…
The entire songs goes like that only…. Let us see combined with Aditi’s voice as a duet…waiting for that version too….
