Not the kind of music I would normally listen to, but I had to listen since it is you two :-) Great job guys!!! I noticed one or two timing issues when you guys were singing together, but that is probably a glitch in the mixing. Also in the end, there were some mouse clicks that could have been avoided.

Other than the minor issues, this was a great piece and both of you pulled it off! Keep up the good work!

Both of you have such lovely, expressive voices, that have given the song such a calm, soothing and pleasant feel to it. And great singing, in sync and in tune, not only with the song, but with each other as well. That’s the beauty of a good duet; how well the voices/singing of the co-singers complement, blend and harmonize with each other.
Yours here is karaoke duetting at its best!! 5/5, any time!

Timeless melody sung in a classy fashion by you both.

NVK – you have knack of picking the songs which u nail with aplomb.

Rashmi – you sound very melodious. One of the standard feature that I have seen in your many renditions your occasional failure to reach the notes. You would stop short of just touching the right frequency. In this song, you seem to have done pretty well all through out. The beginning portion of the last swara phrase could have been done more confidently.

well done both of you. took me back to my child age when i used to go to cassette recording shop and get these songs recorded for my collection……thanks both of you to taking me back. This song is in wrong pitch …I am sure u should have time stretched after the vocal have recorded I can hear the tone has loosened for both of u….is that a delibrate attempt? if yes ….why? the nearest comparable song for this in i layaraja is “Mandhiram idhu mandhiram” from film called AAvarampoo this might be an inspiration to his composition ….May be……. I loved this rendition

Maruthi… Thanks a lot for the feedback. While I appreciate them, I wish to infom you that we have not done any thing like “time stretched after the vocal have recorded” as you say. In fact I have mixed it and I am very ignorant about the various recording/mixing techniques. I am just doing recording/mixing in whatever crude manner I know. And regarding the pitch, it is the same pitch as the original. even the tempo is same as the original. No corrections to the vocal tracks using the software was done after recording….Sorry for contradicting your views. Hope you take it in the right spirit……

Krishji/Rashma: Just heard “ariyaathe ariyaathe” by both of you before this song. What a big difference when you are in your comfortable zone. These kinds of songs you are singing exceptionally well. No words to express. Full marks to you and goes to my fav.

Rashmi chechi… Njaan prathyegichu onnum parayendallo… You were too good in thi song!! Am not exaggerating or being harsh, but to be honest I feel somebody with a sweet, soft & melodious voice as yours might have been a better choice for the original version with Dasettan… Cos I have always felt tht Hemalata ji has a slightly sharp and raw voice which suits the hindustani classical singing…

Whatever it may be… I loved your singing ppl!!

Rashmi, excellent singing by you and NVK. Took me back on a nostalgic trip to my college days. Your voices really blended well and the expressions were good.While singing the swaras especially the last movement you were tentative- this portion should have been sung more boldly.
