Hi Rashmi,

I do follow your songs Rashmi as you know. Always like your voice and fluency in rendering. That carries through well in this song but I thought you have sung it a bit “strongly”. Approach should have been more gentle for this song. It is a superb slow melody and should be felt and sung softly as possible even in high notes. Open throat is not to be used much for this song IMO.

Your voice is awesome and you are already doing great things with it like singing this rather tough song also!. A big well done for that!.

Your vocals were a bit high compared to the music which may have also contributed to the ‘strength’. Also at 4:00 I heard a residual female voice already in the track. May be you took the view of covering up that residual vocal resulting in a ‘stronger’ rendition. Just a thought!.

Your harquats or embellishments could use further refinement to unearth even more subtle nuances in this song. I am sure you will come back to this evergreen song one day and enjoy singing it even better!.

Very good singing as always…. yes I agree to some what Arvind mentioned…. & if the pitch of the track was high the you could have lowered it…. Even I try to sing in the normal scale….these karaoke companies have a nagging habbit of making karaokes at higher pitches don’t know for what fun….higher pitches & faster rhthyms are a very common attribute….These days a lower them down to the original & sometimes even slowering them…. I felt the voice throw that you gave in Thore Nadan Ho Tum was also needed here…. That song in your voice keeps on ringing in my ears whenever I close my eyes…. My girlfriend & Mon also liked it very much…. We want that voice from you….

Now I am listening to your rendtion and I just loved your voice in it….In " Shahnaayiyaan si raaho mein …the harqat at Mein (3:19-3:20) was lil diiferent from the original….original ki tarah hi karte tho bahaut pyara sunai deta.

Rashmi I loved your voice in this song , it sounded as good as it did in Ankhiyon ke jharokhon se ( Your best till date according to me ) ….keep it upppp

The pitch did seem a bit high when I started listening but half way through it didn’t seem to matter….you sang it so beautifully :)

I hav joined Muziboo just few days ago….and uploaded few songs just yesterday……including this Kabhi kabhi……few things after I have listened to you….please do allow me, coz I am a total novice n much junior to u here n dont know singing!
1. Amazing voice Amazing expression
2. I was obviously trying to compare my score with yours (please do listen to mine, though it may be taxing n all…)…and I noticed n learned many things u knw…….somehow comparing the original score wasnt working for me coz perhaps I had grown immune to it (lol) coz of the repeated listening when i sung it perhaps….so much so, that i was almost believing tht mine was v close to the original (this proves beyond dbt tht i am a novice… :D)

I now see so many flaws in my song n see so much scope of improvement…… all thanks to u.

btw…r u the one who was in St. Mary’s school in pune…n are related to Mrs. Vijayan? ….I knw 1 Rashmi Nair who used to stay near KEM and then near Lal Deval…she was the niece of one Mrs. Vijayan whom I used to goto tutions in school….and had 2 other sisters….gosh…am I too much?
