Srini – felt that you were a little distracted to start with and then caught on better as the song progressed.

Rashmi -very sweet rendition. Though i shouldnt be talking about diction :), it will be good to watch the “ph” (as in phool)which is a challenge to most of us from God’s own :)).

Lovely song and Lovely singing. Srini Ji your voice is not like Kishor Kumar… so it was a nice new flavor. Glad you kept your voice instead of trying to mimick & match the legend!
Rashmi… Your singing is a class! I read through the comments and hence wish to add my 2 cents about diction… Correctly pointed out “Phool”… and also its “Phir” not “Fir”… But since I dont know the exact song on which this suggesion to change from “phir to fir” was made, will request you to ensure it. In my experience, I have heard “Phir” only!!!
About this song… You sound a complete professional. Liked your voice a lot.

Rashmi’s volume was a little low. Also, a little treble would have helped (to compensate for rough and deep Srini’s voice)! I felt Srini’s voice was flat. Considering his caliber, I think he could have hit some notes with some more accuracy to give that extra feel. Overall, a good job….!

Well sung Rashmi & Srini! Being a romantic song, Srini needed to add more of that feel, of being in love, in his rendition. Rashmi sounded pleasantly in love, but was a bit short on expressions. Nonetheless, it was a pleasure listening to this gem of a song!

Very good rendition. Rashmi’s really involved in this song. Srini is also good but should be careful about the pitching in some places and the feelings. It’s my humble opinion.

I am big fan of this song. Very romantic indeed.

You both have sung this really well, Rashmi you were very good in this, you got the feel right. Srini felt that initially you were a bit hesitant but you were at ease from the starting of second anthera. Pointers have already been mentioned above by experts.

Good attempt….i particularly liked your voice…eventhough I felt that there was very lil scope for your talent or individuality to be noticed… In film music, sometimes, one gets so wound up with the elongated BG music that the song and its lyrical significance loses all importance totally…. might i recommend that you select songs that will place greater emphasis on the singer’s talent rather than the accompanying score? This is one of my favorite songs. It always reminds me of “Eznilap pandhalitta neela vaanam” of malayalam and the antara of “aapki mehki hui zulfon ko kehte hai ghata”. In the latter song the antara lines “meri taqadir ki tum ne mujhe apna samjha” are very close to the antara lines of this song namely “meri saanson mein basi khushboo teri”.

Srini:

The scale seems to be lower than what may be comfortable for you. I am afraid there are many portions that are pitchy like (baahon “mein”, 0:25 in the aalaap…the note “ri” is just not there). I hoep to see a better performance next time.

Very nice rendition, Rashmi and Srini. I noticed that your volumes were not balanced – Rashmi you sounded softer in vol than Srini. A very sweet rendition overall. Agree with most on their observations otherwise.
