Leo, Srini, Shibasis, Max and Santosh, thank you very much for subjecting yourself to this song :). I agree with you all. Will work on removing the Tremolo. And the “SUR” is not there. Even I could feel it. This song is very difficult and I don’t have the tools to execute it. I compare it to my situation when I bought a brand new BMW 550i and I had never driven a stick shift before and suddenly I had 350+ horse power under my command and the clutch was a new thing for the brain. So I would go here and there and was in funny situations when the stop light was on a hill and after stopping at the red light I didn’t know how to start on a hill with the right clutch release and applying enough speed. But soon I learnt and can command those horses effortlessly. Same situation here as I am having hard time controlling the vocal cords and applying right signals from the brain. But I like dealing with complex problems. Your feedback is most appreciated.

It was a great attempt at a difficult song.I hear a small disconnect with the beats at a few places. Lower notes come out very well, the higher notes need a little practice. Your tonal quality and pitching are both excellent.

Vik, Sojan, Harry, Harshan thank you so much for stopping by and giving me your valuable time. Although there are problems with SUR here I am happy in a way as I feel a big improvement in my confidence and tonal quality. I beat up too much on myself because my expectataions are way too high.
Max – thanks for taking the time to point out the SUR issue. Good news is now I am also able to tell about SUR problem. In the past month have learnt a lot here by listening to other people singing and comments on their songs.
Santosh – Thanks for liking the voice.
Sojan bahi ye bahut dangerous gana hai, difficult at least for a newbie like me. I am glad I could even complete the antaras without gasping for breath. that’s enough for me right now. Will get the SUR right soon.

Shani, KB, Somya, Adwait, RK, Adithi, Thank you very much for giving me your valuable time. I am glad you liked this song. I am very aware of the mistakes I made and am working to rectify them. Baselining and resolving one thing at a time. With this song I got my recording right. Am able to see SUR problems now myself which is a very good thing earlier I didn’t have a clue when somebody said you are in SUR or not in SUR :) , off notes I am not too worried about as they can be resolved by spending more time with the track. Somya – Thanks for noticing my involvement. Feel is the first thing I go for that’s what songs are made for, to convey the feelings. I want to touch the soul of the song first. As you rightly said about tempo, sur and notes etc…. I will focus on them. It will take time as new neural netwroks have to be created in the brain by learning and practicing more songs. I am enjoying it immensely. Adithi, thanks for noticing the “Mohabbat” in P1. That’s what I was trying to go beyond my current abilities and render words with more feel and that tumbled me in loosing sight of other aspects. I recorded three versions of this song and could have picked good things from all three to create a nice version but stayed honest and kept this as one take. Thank you all.

I felt timing issues in the starting. The voice is a bit shaky …. and the high notes were not very clean.

Rahulji, very nicely emoted! (For me emotion is most important after the basic taal/sur). You have also successfully incorporated Kishoreda’s style here. KK has sung it in a soft voice, and though you have managed to do that in many places, I would hv preferred a bit more consistency. I am not too much worried about the vibration part. I feel, those minor things will get ironed out with a little bit of practice!
