Eeally feeling it as listening a great old song sung by our legand singer Mannadey. With great perfection you are singing. We got Salilda for some fantastic songs composed by him in our language. I have heard some of his tunes in Bangali also and he remixed it in to our language. All his compositions are so famous in kerala.

L-ed, F-ed, and FB-ed :-) ! Spectacular composition, singing, and creativity :-) ! some telepathy at my end too…. This is an immortal Malayalam film song composed by the Genius Bengali Salil da…. On my wish list for a cover someday, and I just jammed a couple of stanzas of this song with my Malayalee friends this past New Year’s eve :-) !

The base tune is very much like “Gori Tera Gaon bada pyaara”…. also a super hit of Jesudas ji. There are numerous adaptations of this tune, in Tamil also…. Coincidentally, like your ‘barsaat’ connotation, one of those Tamil adaptations also starts off as “Megam Karukkayile, pulla degham kulirudhadi….” meaning “As the cloud darkens, dear, I get this chill….”…. :-) !!

But really disappointed that you didnt sing in malayalam… :(
the original song is all about fishermen and going to the see for fishing etc…

Adaab Naqviji….ati sunder gayaki!!bohat umdah performance. Main Saroj ji ko badhai dena chahunga jo aapko Malayalam gana try karne ko kaha. Lekin aap is baar toh nahi karsake mujhe yaqeen zaroor hai ki aap kabhi na kabhi zaroor karenge. Khair koi baat nahi, atleast isi wajah se aapne apne khud ka lyrics likha aur uske uper dhun baithaker gaa bhi diya!!wah guru ji waah!!maza agaya, ekdum fit lyrics…Waise Malayalam language seekhne mein bohat mushkil hai…:) aise umdah performance dete rahiyega…

I’m sure writing lyrics on this track would’ve been very tricky initially but the results will be so encouraging for you. You were successful in making it like original. Wonderful skills Naqvi saheb. The singing also was lovely and inspiring. May be you should start creating those lovely Malayalam and Marathi songs into Urdu in your small studios ;-) …. Mujhe bahot zyaada mazaa aaya – I think you shd present this as a Jugalbandi with someone who has sung the original Mal song to showcase how music adapts differently in different regions yet sounds so melodious.
