Kaise Kategi Zindagi Tere Baghair
Kaise Kategi Zindagi Tere B... Lyrics & Chords
The second one from the two I selected from Madan Mohan-Mohammad Rafi combination is an unreleased song. Though there is not much info about this song other than the one we already know, but I have my own reasons to believe that Madan Mohan Ji created two songs for a particular situation, one in Gm (Aapke Pehlu Main) and this one in G for film Mera Saya (1966). If I were the Producer (Lol…) I would have not released this movie (or whatever movie it was supposed to be in) without having been included. Also it makes me think as to how much abundance of such classic music was at their disposal that they could let go such a heart touching song.
As for Madan Mohan Ji, he was a Master in himself. It is relatively easier to bring in a sad melody with minor chords but he proved it that he could equally create same mood by employing a Major chord. The composers were lucky to have singers like Rafi Sahab who could bring about any mood with as much simplicity or complexity as needed. The track here is a beauty even though its accompaniment seems to be generated through a keyboard, but violin is just superbly played. My salute to the musician who played violin in such sad mode. The ending however was not as good as the accompaniment guitar kept sounding even after the last Tabla beat, so I tried to fix it to some extent.
Presenting this cover with the hope that it will revive some of the old memories among friends and praise for the Maestros.

Naqvi Sahab, aapki aawaz mein iss geet ko sun kar bohot lutf aaya. Madan Mohan aur Rafi sahab ke hunar ki jitni tareef ki jaaye kam hai. Hindustani music mein aksar vikrit -komal ya teevra swar istemaal kiye jaate hain bhaav darshane ke lieye jaise ki western style mein minor chords. Aapko bhi geeton ki gehraee mein jaane ka shouk hai aur choonki aap khud vadya baja lete hain samajhne mein daer nahin lagti. aapki aawaz mein iss bhav ke geet bohot hi janchte hain. Bohot khoob!

Well those were great days when such musicians were performing their honest and great work…. now its just a commercial era…. western music has taken place and we’re losing our eastern style…. this music reminds how simple but very effective it was back then…. the song seems simple but in fact isn’t easy to sing and you did it beautifully…. the higher notes you delivered out of your comfort zone and were lovely…. enjoyed this gem much Naqvi saheb…. and wish to hear more like that :-)
Best of Luck!!!

Was listening to this with my hubby, and, a good while after the song came to the end, we were still quietly sitted, as if awaiting it to continue or to begin again.
I was wondering what is that inner feeling which brings one to such a high level of performance, where song, soul, emotion and technicality are literally breaking into such a harmony filled “all”, which is hardly to be described in words.

Sorry to be late Naqvi ji, but better late than never.
What a heart-warming singing in your deep and soulful voice
and how effectively you have brought in that melancholic mood into your voice!
I think more than the Raag, it is in the emotive singing style that the mood of sadness has been brought in this song.
Simply marvelous.
