And we thought simple music is long gone with the oldies. No not with Jagjit Singh’s compositions. How much more a geet can be simple as this and yet contain everything that gets the listeners attention.
I miss the Chaand here….folks who have migrated to North America must have noticed that even the Chaand seems to be facing the other side….to me it is facing my Des. But here in Montreal’s cold and long long nights I still don’t get to see the Chaand, its mostly cloudy but whenever it appears it reminds me of how really it use to appear there.
I have no idea who wrote this geet but I thank one special someone who silently send me this track. This geet is in Ab. Hope you all like it.

Well apne des main chaand dekhne ka jo ehsaas tha wo yahan kahan…. yahan to Eid bhi aati hai to Chaand dekhe bina…. aur wahan chaand dekhe bina hoti nahi thi…. anyhow…. bit different than what we’ve been listening from Jagjit saheb especially where you deliver “des main” but you added your own flavor in it…. wonderful singing Naqvi saheb…. enjoyed it…. keep sharing like that.

Naqvi Sahab, bohot daer ho gayi aate aate par khushi hai ki apka gaaya hua geet abhi bhi intezaar kar raha hai mere liye! Iss geet ke shayar hain Rahi Masoom Reza Sahab. Reza Sahab Urdu ke alawa Hindi mein bhi likhte the aur unhone TV serila Mahabharat ki script bhi likhi thi. Bohot honahaar hain.
Iss geet ko Begum Abida Parveen ne bhi gaya hai Jagjit Sahab ke alava. Kabhi mauka mile toh suniyega.

Bhai Rajeev aaj bohut dino baad aapka sakoot toota aur aapko yehan dekh kar achha laga. JS ka bohut sara naya kam mera suna hua nahi thaa. Ab sunta hoon tu bohut achha lagta hai. Ittefaq se kuch unke badhiya track bhi mil gaye so aik aik karke gaata ja raha hoon. Khushi huee ye geet/nazm aapko passand aayee.
