Come from a family of trained Carnatic singers. Predictably turned my back on all that for Jethro Tull, Cream, Led Zeppelin, Wishbone Ash, Jeff Beck and a whole lot of guitar-driven bands.
Never lost touch with old Hindi film music and Tamil music. Love this part of my music beyond words.
Somewhere along the way, moved on to the blues.
And still somewhere along the way, rediscovered Carnatic.
