Here is my shraddhanjali to the legendary singer Kishore Kumar who left us with numerous melodies on 13 October, 1987. Many of his flamboyant songs became very popular and he also popularized many of his sad songs. He also left us with some unique numbers which may not have received the same fame…but all of his songs were without a doubt tempting for us amateurs to try…… only to find out how difficult they are!
Mehmood, a dehati poor man is trying to put this little angel to sleep in 1970 film, Mastana with this beautiful lori sung by Kishore da. This happens to be another one of my favorite loris and I thought I could pull it off for this upload…… but this turned out to be one tough project for me. It took me many tries to get here…

After a lot of time, I heard this song. Mehmodd was my Favourite, and this song also. Sang a lot while we were in Hostels.
Your rendering is filled with the masoomiyat of this song which is USP. Kishor da have a strong base note otherwise, but have given a very special soft feel for this song, and you have cleverly picked up that feel very melodiously.
Folk genre of the song is also perfectly managed. Listening again twice.
