I have to apologize at first because in the cd I forgot to put down that J.T. Wilde wrote this song with me. We were roomies in my first year in college and had just finished a date with some nice, cute girls, but were very superficial. Normally, it wouldn’t have bothered us, but this was the 10th superficial date that we had taken girls on. So we stayed up until 4 a.m. just singing and writing this song about what is real and what is fake. Venting our feelings about people, including ourselves, trying to be something that we are not and needing to be accepted by ourselves.
