One of my fav. ARR songs. Very well sung, you voice suits this perfectly and excellent modulations and feel in your singing. Why is there only one stanza? Although there are a few minor offs especially in trailing notes, you have done a very good job overall.

In this 5 minute file, there was silence after 3:20. Would be nice if you had presented the whole song?. Or may be you did not realise?.

Your voice is nice and has potential but it needs to open up for a more breezy delivery. Your current pitchiness is because of a closed style IMHO. Go for more louder and bolder singing to break out of this … will help you a lot to attempt more challenging songs … pitch issues will resolve itself once you open up over time.

Nice voice and good sense of music and attention to detail is quite good I felt. Kudos Jenefa!.

your voice sounds a little shaky … so as NVK and arvind pointed out do sing with an open throat that really helps… i have seen a lot of difference from the time i started to now….

Nice try. I feel, a little more confidence can do wonders for you.

When you try to record, don’t ever try to keep the final take as it is. There may be some offs/flats in the final take too. You might have done a better job in those timelines in the previous takes. SO always try to cut and paste the best spots from the previous takes. As long as you maintain the same distance (to mic), background noise and throw no one can figure out those patches.I don’t know whether you follow this technique. If not, it is something worth considering….

With your beautiful voice & bubbling talent, I feel that you’re quite capable of doing this more perfectly.I may therefore humbly suggest that with a little more practice, you can re-do this, which does not mean that this rendition is not good. In fact, you have well-done this difficult song of Sujathaji which is not at all an easy thing. But you can & you should do this in a much better manner which all of us shall be eagerly awaiting.

As usual you had done justice to this song. Another melody number from ARR, one of my favorite too. You have sung very nicely, the voice has mixed nicely with the background music. Was very pleasant to hear you singing. Just wanted to tell you to sing freely and happily. Think you are restricting yourself in some portions. In some places like “Kaatru en kaathil etho sonnathu”…and while taking high pitch shruthi is getting changed. This is in my point of view. Sorry if i have told anything wrong. Jenefa:

“gangai neerin suvai” is a noteworthy place. one thing you may want to concentrate is the proper ladings in the ending notes like enna"dhu", sonna"dhu" etc. Overall your adherence to shruthi is very good except in very high notes. But you have kind of simplified the song a bit as a result of which I do hear quite a few flat portions and less precision in notes (e.g. idhayam sindhi vittadha at 1:07).

Jenefa, you have a lovely, expressive voice- your greatest asset. This is one of my ARR favourites and you have sang it well. There are technical flaws in your singing, which have been elaborately pointed out by others. My suggestion to you- dont record the song in one stretch; do it in phases, correcting and improving as you move ahead.
You are a good singer- keep singing for us!
