Unni – u were absolutely mindlowing in this one……Nothing to add, great singing with some amazing expressions….

Harry – pitchin issues when you end lines, like BATAAA, happened everytime in the verses……That could be a place to improve….Expressions were good and complimented Unii very well….

Janani – Nice voice, good delivery with minor pitching issues……Also mixing of ur vocals were slightly different than the guys, can be due to the difference in recording quality/setups at all 3 places….

Overall, good choice and ur effort paid of well

KB… dude the way you started with the alaap was amazingggg, loved your open throated singing all the way…!

Harry… very well sung, your voice suited the Adnan part a lot… thought, you could open up a bit more i felt, but well done nonetheless

Janani… awesome control, and technically perfect singing…! there were quite a few diction issues though, and the words were not very clear… but I guess you do not sing too much of hindi numbers, am sure time will take care of these issues…

All said and done, was very very eagerly waiting for this upload, and I’m happy to say that you guys haven’t disappointed me even a bit…! :D :D i like and I fave :D

Overall very good job by all of you. Half a note drop might have produced an even better result. Great job by Anil :) Keep singing :)

Janani …listening to u for the first time. One thing which is evident is that your voice is a bit muffled esp in the higher registers, could u be a recording set up issue ….you have a beautiful voice.

This is one of the best cover versions I have heard in Muziboo.

Unni – Your alaaps were superb. The initial take off was splendid. I always believe if you do the initial portions well you get the whole song to be a instant hit. You have come a long way in your hindi covers. I am really impressed.

Harry – Very supportive and nice singing. But I felt a bit of open throat singing would have helped the mood and also made this song even more beautiful.

Janani – Your alaaps and sustain were superb and mindblowing. But i could find a lot of stumbles while singing the speed portions of the song.

Anil – Its a tough job to synchronize all 3 vocals. I felt the female portion could have been better.

Great job by Anil in recreating the track, and mindblowing opening by Unni.

Harry – yours and Unni’s portions suit the context of the song very well, and both of you seem to have modeled your vocals based on the original singers, which has worked well.

I did not quite like how Janani’s voice sits in the mix. It does not have to be a mixing issue, sounds to me that the vocals have clipped while recording itself, which is why there is audible distortion when her vocals start. The pitch seemed a little high for her. And overall, I felt the whole mix is lop-sided to the right.

That said, kudos to the team for attempting a song like this and pulling it off. And again a special mention for Anil’s track. Cheers!

this is too good team….I liked the clarity in Unni’s voice at the very beginning and when sustaining….Harry voice is quite contrasting and stood out very well….Janani voice has some mixing issues…not sure what went wrong there….but performance wise all of you did a wonderful job….

The moment i heard the original song,i thought its a difficult task to re create the track. But when i heard the acapellas of all 3 singers, i felt this could be a challenging task for me to program the minus track and sync vocals,

K-track turned out professional.

There comes Vocal synchronizing with the K track.
Unni : Recorded using Dynamic Mic
Harry : Condenser Mic
Janani: Headphone attached Mic

had to normalize the vocals and set at a proper freq and compress it !
since janani’s input recording clipped, i was unable to work, yet tried my best to normalize and fix it!
coz, the feel involved,singing wise, I’m sure if tat wasn’t the normal mic, Her vocals would have sounded crisp & mind blowing ! observe the way she has sung those lines, no doubt she is a trained singer!
Harry – Good voice, lil pitch variations , and open trout is required.

Unni : Good at sur, pitch, but voice culture is required !
