you got a great voice… nice expressions … on the intricacies front, the mukhada was off at quite a few places…. and that, being the entry point of the song, needs to be very very close to being perfect for the mood to set in for the listener…. your antara was better….given your voice quality, you can do much better, I feel…. try listening to a recording on an external speaker to detect the pitchy parts… if possible, try redoing your part…. will give the song an all new dimension…. :)

very well sung…. your expressions are top-notch…. the throw of the words and the way you end them, are really very good…… and shows how much you have improved since your initial days…… you have a naturally husky voice, which you can use to ur advantage…. even though you have always claimed to be more of a western-ish singer, this song has proved that you can handle eastern numbers equally well…. (i am already thinkin of a probable song which i can cover with you…LOL)….

All in all, a nice product… :)

Dude… chillax…… firstly… i didnt give u any 1 star…. in fact, i didnt give any rating…. and i didnt say the mukhada was “totally off”…. i said it was “off at quite a few places”…. and why i said this is because when u are starting off a word, before you hit the note of that word, it wavers a bit and then settles…. this has happened much lesser in the Antara, which is why i said, “your antara was better”…. dont take it to heart, dude…. you got a great voice, and have given a lot of great numbers…. which is why i said what i said…. am sorry if i hurt u in anyway….

Great work ….I appreciate Neha and you doing this tough number ….Sir I feel with your voice quality you could have done better……you sound awesome at some places however I would be happier if you were consistent….

Neha you have done well too, you always say your comfortable with Western numbers but here you have done really well….

Regarding the annonymous rating, Harry I have been bitten with this dog many times. Dont be mislead…honestly its NOT done by friends who come out with sincere comments….even if they mean negative at times. You remember the old saying in India ….when an elephant takes to the street, lots of stray dogs bark ….but the elephant still walks elegantly on the street unhindered….lage raho mere bhai…dont be disturbed by these folks….what can u say about spineless individuals….

very nice effort…:) it’s really a tough song to cover.
About vocals -
you both have sung it very nicely. You have a very mature voice & Neha also has this sweetness in her voice which suits this genre. Good thing is that u both have brought in your own styles/flavor into it. I mean, by listening to your version no one can figure out who were the original singers of this song. That’s a good sign. There are slightly off vocals here n there in some parts but that’s very minor thing. More importantly, it’s all about ‘feel’ & both of u have put it in very nicely. keep it up…:)

About the track – I liked your mixing. It’s a nicely balanced track. You seem to have used slightly different chords in the bassline at a couple of places (e.g. this line – “dhadkan bani jubaan” the bassline in original progression is only D to A. In your track you have inserted an E chord root note that makes a progression – D E A. etc) But I think you have purposefully done it & u have full right to do so because it’s your version of the song. It’s just that I was very much used to the original background details of this song. I’m glad you have done total justice to it. Keep it up & keep uploading new stuff. All the best.

Nice song selection. I also love it due to its soothing, lovely and romantic composition.
Both of you have tried to give your best. Harry I’ve listened to some of you other songs too and in your last song with new composition you were just wonderful. However in this song you should try to sing v softly in Kharaj notes bcos this is the real beauty of this song. Same suggestion is for Neha.
You both have gr8 potential no doubt about it.

I love this one :) Harry bhai I am not an expert but would request you to take Sitarah’s suggestion. If you do that with your gifted and mature voice it will raise the bar to the top level and there will be more fluidity in the song. I see great potential in your voice.

i cannot say that i will not compare to the original because there needs to be a scale.
in couple of places, “bahon ke” is off shruti.
“daud jaaye” in first stanza is a bit hard on the song.
neha’s voice and pitching is really good. i would score her more than you. sorry if you didnt like that.
