This Hemant da duet with Lata ji was rendered by Ghazal maestro Jagjit Singh sahab in his album “Close to My Heart” in the year 2003 as solo and at this point of time it appealed to me immensely……not to say that before that I did not like it but somehow I was not a great fan of this song. Jagjit sahab has changed the complete texture of song except the basic composition. New interludes with modern instruments have been incorporated.Some chorus inputs have also been added depicting Jagjit sahab’s vision. I have given it a try (Jagjit sahab version)….

This is not a vocal cut….the voices in background at few places are of chorus input used by Jagjit sahab….the quality of mix gets somewhat poorer with 64 kbps….originally I uploaded in 128 kbps which is a lot better……anyways Thanx a lot….regards

Muzaffar sahab I agree that personal likings and dislikings vary from person to person and most of the time I also do not like remix covers of old gems. Jagjit Singh ji is a very big name in this field and I adore him for ghazals. His album “Close to my heart” was the only set of remixes which I liked for old gems….I can understand your feedback in the light of fact that you have a deep knowledge of musical instruments and their use which most of us are unaware.
