This Kishore da song was a major hit of those days when Rajesh Khanna was undisputed super star of Bollywood. Still when this film was released it bombed at box office. However, the songs of film were just out of this world (Itna to yaad hai mujhe…., Jaane kyoon log mohabbat kiya karte hain…….,Ye jo chilman hai………, Apna hai tu begana nahi……….etc). The producer re-released this film few years later and it became a major hit just owing to music. It still draws full houses now whenever re-run. Celebrated duo Lakshmikant Pyarelal has scored one of his best compositions on lyrics of Anand Bakshi sahab here in this muslim social film by H.S.Rawail sahab who specialised in these types of movies. I love all songs of this film and wish to cover almost all of them some time….I got a very good track of this song and ventured into this project
