ON HIS 24TH DEATH ANNIVERSRY (13.10.2011)I express regret to my friends for bothering them so soon after my tribute to Janaab Jagjit Singh sahab posted day before yesterday….but death anniversry of GURU Kishore da fell today and I could not stop my self from posting my tribute…
This song is one of the most touching numbers of
versatile legendary singer. Picturised on Shashi Kapoor in this film based on a novel of Gulshan Nanda, this song became hugely popular those days. For that matter all other songs of this film were masterpieces (O meri sharmilee…., Khilte hain gul yahan……., Reshmi ujala hai……, Aaj madhosh hua jaaye……, Megha chhaye aadhi raat…… etc). Lyrical quality of all songs was outstanding since these were written by poet Dr Gopal Das “Neeraj” and the outstanding compositions are by Late Sachin Dev Burman da"
I was not able to procure a good karaoke track of this song and therefore I have fabricated this track by cut – paste method using original song and some loops….please bear with me if you find the track quality below par since I could not get an excellent quality original song track as well….

Actually I am humbled with the outpouring of your love for the legend. Being raised in South…we still admired this giant…thanks to my father who played more hindi songs at home.
Bows to that gesture. Loved your song with the giggles – filled with such cuteness…one’s eyes are filled with smile and damp with love….
Loved the diction wish I could rub some off that….lol….very nice…very cutely done… i can think of one other singer in the professional field who brings this even today – Udit Narayan.

I thought it has come out real good and your diction (although I do not know Hindi well at all) sounded very knowledgeable and authentic. Musically it was very good indeed and I liked your involved and confident singing. Your voice is full of warmth and the feeling was heartfelt … very honest rendition I should say in a robust voice.
