This classic number was originally sung by legendary singer Late Talat Mehmood sahab in his trademark velvet vocals. It is a telephone song (sung by Sunil Dutt sahab on phone to leading lady Nutan) in league of numbers like “Main yahan….(Baghbaan)” and “Jidhar dekhoon teri tasveer……(Mahaan)” which also have been fully sung on telephone. This song is very close to my heart since long.
I have improved the available track by adding starting humming portion and incorporating one additional stanza which was missing.

wow,nothing better than this.great singing with great feeling.i love this evergreen song of yesteryears.in fact there is an unplugged female version of this song in recent times in a malayalam film.so i was thinking of singing this song with that base.very well sung saxenaji.

Itna pyaara sa classic chuna hai aapne. Loved it. Aapka selections hamesha hi sabse ache hote hain and variety bhi hai. Talat songs are hard to sing since he brings a soulfulness in his songs despite a significant shaky voice. You have done well in the soulfulness part.
Improvements ke liye – phir se yehi suggestion hai ke alfaaz ko free flowing rakhen and upar ke suron mein dhyan dein.
