Chupke chupke raat din........ Lyrics & Chords
This classic ghazal was originally composed and sung by legendary ghazal singer Ghulam Ali sahab on some dream lyrics of Janaab Hasrat Mohani. It became hugely popular in late seventies when ghazal wave initiated by Jagjit Singh ji swept Indian subcontinent. This ghazal was lifted by B.R.Chopra sahab as such and kept in his film Nikaah (1982). To legitimise his lift, he showed this ghazal playing on record player which the hero was shown as listening to. Ghulam Ali sahab was naturally hurt by this lift but did not file a court case since this film made him even more immensely popular and household name in India……………………………………Jagjit Singh sahab has also sung this ghazal in his album “Kahkashan” (1990) but the composition is not as charming as this one………………………………………………………
……. I loved this ghazal since beginning but did not find a good karaoke track for it. Now I have prepared a karaoke track myself by my indigenous loop cut- paste method in which I have used only original song, nothing else. No vocal cutting has been done…………………………
…………I also have added 2 more stanzas in this ghazal which Ghulam ali sahab has sung in live shows but were not there on record / cassettes……………………………………………….

This is just a superb performance – Ghulam Ali Sahab sets a very high bar even for accomplished Ghazal artists so comparison with original is of no consequence – seen by itself, you have done marvelously. Loved it.
